Newsletter

April-June 2007

Dear Friends of FFN

I must begin by apologising for the belatedness of this quarterly newsletter. As ever it has been a busy three months, with four new hostel children and two new day children joining Alphas, as well as coordinating the two university trips and their related community work. However, none of this would have been possible without individuals such as yourselves, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of the children of Nepal for your continued support.

A special thank you must also go out to Joseph Rimmington, who over 5 days walked 65 miles and raised £443.50m for Future For Nepal. This is no small achievement in itself, but what makes it even more impressive is that Joseph is only 11 years old!! The money Joseph has raised will now be used to sponsor a child to attend Alphas as a day student. Well- done Joseph, you are truly amazing.

I would like to wish both the Durham and Oxford University students good- luck with their expeditions; you will have an amazing time. Together they have raised nearly £25,000 for FFN. This money is being used to fund the 4 new hostel children, as well as a series of one-off building projects [ please visit: http://www.futurefornepal.com/fundraising.php ].

I have also updated the photographs on the website, so please visit: http://www.futurefornepal.com/photogallery.php for recent photos of the children.

Should anyone have any queries about the activities of FFN, please feel free to contact me anytime.

Take Care,

Tom Wells
